Commercial Description:
Style developed by ale brewers to approximate pilsner and other pale lager styles. Golden ales tend to be staw to deep gold in color, with a light hop aroma and slightly sweet and fruity taste. Taste A new world ale with a nod toward German style. A medium hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Mild and fruity with very light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt.

Another impressive brew from Pike- pours a bright golden brown colour with a medium white haed. Aroma is slightly grainy but also of german hops. Semi sweet mouthfeel, light, refreshing and finishes very crisp.

Golden brown color, medium head. Slightly hoppy, some maltyness, slightly sweet (apricot?) yeast esters. A session beer (German style). Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is malty, slightly sweet.
