Houston,TX ::::: funny, has a very british malt profile, light caramel and odd biscuit malt (very english ale) like flavours ... low but sturdy headpool ... a very simple beer (no scotch here) ... stormy seems to be feeling better ... "if you buy it, women will have sex in your backyard" .... pours a slightly murky marmalade colour... no city noise, no flesh eating ogres, no pollution, a real easy drinking brew that would be good for a beginner but falls horribly short of a real craft brew ... one of pikes lesser efforts...freebie from Pablo, thx! jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 16, 2009 This actually has some merit. Pours a brownish orange color with a small off white head. Notes of smoked malt and rich caramel and toffee dominate this earthy beer. Some fruitiness is present but it is subdued. Thin mouthfeel. Not bad overall. kkearn (999), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Hazy, dark orange pour. Very little head to speak of, and hardly any carbonation sensed on the mouthfeel either. The aroma is probably the best thing this beer has going for it; so pleasant. An immediate bitter taste greets you, but is weaker than expected. A hoppy, bitter aftertaste lingers but is not overpowering. This beer was nothing to speak ill about but I was expecting more.
