Aroma is malt, fruit and sort of ’earthy’ hops. Smooth and creamy medium/full body with light carbonation. Taste starts smokey-sweet, nutty malt with a dry, piney hop finish that lingers a bit. Well rounded. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2004 a hazed amber color with thin head formation..overripe fruits, sourness, and a slightly musty aroma...slightly soured fruit based malty flavor which disappears very quickly and leaves minimal aftertaste. Almost peachy flavors and a somewhat chewy mouthfeel, not anything like any other scottish ale ive had..but remains interestingly pleasant. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2003 Kind of a cloudy amber color, small off white head that lasted for a decent amount of time.Slightly sweet malt aroma wit an almost bubblegum character or fruit side if you will, light hops a best.Malty taste sweet and juicyfruit tasting with a mild shot of hops, the taste manages to change at the back to a more bitter taste. The alcohol makes just a brief faint appearance. It's not a bad brew by any means but i would still rather have a J.P.Grays anyday over this brew, but it's a worthy brew to try. hophead75 (1962), Boonton, New Jersey, USA
