Commercial Description:
Unlike the lighter "Scottish" ales, this is an authentic heavy Scotch ale. It is lightly hopped with a strong malt character, and a hint of peaty smokiness. Warm fermentation produces fruity esters and balances the sweet malt character.

Bottled. Pours a coppery amber with a dimishing lacy head. Aroma is malt, fruit and sort of ’earthy’ hops. Smooth and creamy medium/full body with light carbonation. Taste starts smokey-sweet, nutty malt with a dry, piney hop finish that lingers a bit. Well rounded.

Pours a dark amber, slightly brown-copper body with a minuscule head. Bold and sweet Scottish with smokey peatiness and a hint of whisky in a rather mild strong ale (if this is possible). Solid brew.

a hazed amber color with thin head formation..overripe fruits, sourness, and a slightly musty aroma...slightly soured fruit based malty flavor which disappears very quickly and leaves minimal aftertaste. Almost peachy flavors and a somewhat chewy mouthfeel, not anything like any other scottish ale ive had..but remains interestingly pleasant.

Bottled. Pours a light amber color. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Some fruity caramel like aromas as well. Somewhat sweet with a little bit of malt. A hint of roastiness in the finish. Some creamy scotch qualities as well.

Kind of a cloudy amber color, small off white head that lasted for a decent amount of time.Slightly sweet malt aroma wit an almost bubblegum character or fruit side if you will, light hops a best.Malty taste sweet and juicyfruit tasting with a mild shot of hops, the taste manages to change at the back to a more bitter taste. The alcohol makes just a brief faint appearance. It's not a bad brew by any means but i would still rather have a J.P.Grays anyday over this brew, but it's a worthy brew to try.

Pours a dark brown colour with a full, thick sweet head. Very nutty hint of oak- Definately some smokey character, midpalate its very malty and smooth. Lighter then what im used to for a scotch, but tastey and creamy all the way through on the palate.
