Feb 12, 2007 Draught sampler at the brewpub. Ruby-copper colour. Sweet nose with a slight smokiness. Nice, full mouthfeel. Interesting sweetness in the flavour - fruity and a bit peaty with a herbal finish. Yeah, I like.

Jun 8, 2003 NABA BeerFest 03: yummy scottish, I usually don't like them. The other ones at the fest sucked compared to this sculpted brew. Nutty malt body with a smooth flavor, easy to drink but filling at the same time.

Feb 13, 2009 22oz bottle. Brown pour, with a slightly reddish hue, with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, peat, earth and tootsie rolls. Flavor of peat and earth, with caramel and smoke. Medium body. Peat and smoke linger on the palate. Nice.

Apr 30, 2005 Almost clear, bronze with a filmy, white top that doesn’t last. Smokey malt, nicely balanced with hops a fruit to contrast some toffee malt fill the aroma, while a biscuity and smokey malt flavour are in perfect balance with hops flavour and bittering and toffee malt sweetness. Medium body with mild carbonation and a clean, yet sweet finish.

Jan 23, 2007 Lightly hazed brown copper, thin head, decent lace. Aroma of tangy fruit and light caramel malt. Flavor is bolder than the aroma - caramel malt is prevalent. Refreshing tangy fruit around the edges. Citrus hops flavor is in the background, but very complimentary. Nice balance. Body north of medium, moderate carbonation. Smooth drinking.

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber with orange hues, nice beige head. Aroma of caramel. Flavor is nice, caramel, nice fruity flavors, with a little hp. Mouthfeel is med-heavey body with medium carbonation....Overall, a tasty beer!

Sep 20, 2004 A very sweet malty/caramel aroma. Slightly hazy orange with a small white fast falling head. Taste starts malty sweet, with some good caramel roasty tones, good balance and a sweet finish. A very smooth tasty brew.
