Nov 3, 2006 Updated: Aug 25, 2009Marty McFly could sum up this ale pretty well "Heavy.." Light on flavor offerings, this one really hits you full force with its strength. A real one-trick-pony with some nice sweet fruit essence combined with its heavy malt body.
Re-rate - Caramel maltiness along with sweet toffee. Sizable peat and earth character.

Jun 4, 2006 Bottled. Pours a coppery amber with a dimishing lacy head. Aroma is malt, fruit and sort of ’earthy’ hops. Smooth and creamy medium/full body with light carbonation. Taste starts smokey-sweet, nutty malt with a dry, piney hop finish that lingers a bit. Well rounded.

Oct 16, 2006 I very much enjoyed this beer. Very nice aroma, with some citrus and earthy tones. Reddish amber color. Flavor is rich with caramel malts, and a nice hoppy and peaty finish. Perhaps a bit too sweet, and it could use a bit more peat for a scotch ale, but nonetheless a very nice, enjoyable beer.

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber with orange hues, nice beige head. Aroma of caramel. Flavor is nice, caramel, nice fruity flavors, with a little hp. Mouthfeel is med-heavey body with medium carbonation....Overall, a tasty beer!

Sep 2, 2008 Great buttery smell, texture and taste. Great lacing. The buttery aspect of this ale is amazing. I almost expect this one to have cholesterol.

Sep 20, 2004 A very sweet malty/caramel aroma. Slightly hazy orange with a small white fast falling head. Taste starts malty sweet, with some good caramel roasty tones, good balance and a sweet finish. A very smooth tasty brew.

Jun 8, 2009 Very big caramel malt body. Slight estery-ness combined with a nice smokey peat nose. Very good beer, a nice style of scotch ale.
