Commercial Description:
A mildly hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Soft and fruity with light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt. 34 IBU 1.048 OG

This beer was a disappointment on so many levels I’m not sure where to begin. I almost think I got a bad bottle but probably not. Aroma, color, lace, flavor were horrible. I’m a big Pike fan but this beer failed. It should be renamed Nasty Nellies Ale

I liked this as a golden ale. A decent head and hoppiness and just a little bit organic. I can see drinking this again and for friends.

On tap at the brewpub. Light gold, with very little head. Clean and crisp., like a lager. Not too hoppy.

A translucent golden ale with a thin creamy white head. In aroma, a very nice lightly floral hops over silky malts, and light orange pulp notes. In mouth, a good intense oily malt, with loads of esters, light and restrained hops, almost Belgian in style, like Palm. Medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, Sept. 12 2009.

Bottle. Clear light amber color with a white head. Lightly sweet honey malt aromas. Light to medium body. Nice grassy, spicy hop flavors with lightly sweet pale malts. Nicely bitter finish.

Pours a light gold with a thin white head and some lace. Aroma is primarily of biscuit, and palate is almost chewy--not thin at all. Maybe I got a good batch. Tastes of roasted malt, bread, pepper, and just lightly bittered.

I like that it is organic - thats about where this rating ends with the praise. Tight, almost champaign-like carbonation with a cheap sweet malt flavor. Faint spice aroma with a white head on a golden body. Not much else going on here. Somewhat mouth coating for the style of beer.

A nice goldn yellow beer with a small carbonationhead that coats the side of the sampler glass as you drink. Smells doughy, yeasty ans a lil sweet. Nice little nonoffensive beer. Flavors more hops than aroma, which is still next to nothing.
