Commercial Description:
A mildly hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Soft and fruity with light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt. 34 IBU 1.048 OG

On tap @ Pike: ClearGolden with medium white head. Sweet caramely malts with slight floral hops. A lingering bitterness but not bracingly so.

Fruity nose, toffe and butter hints; pears, grapefruit; initially sweet, full of caramel, ends a tad dry and bitter with musty hopping; nice balance, decent brew

Deep golden color, small white head. Grassy hop aromatics with a slight grainy note. Mild sweetness melds into a slight bitter hop character. Crisp finish with a hint of estery fruit flavor. Mouthfeel is light.

Orangish straw, hazy, with a bubbly, white cover. Spicy citrus aroma with watermelon and a bit spicy, melanoidin malt. American hops come out first in the flavour, but are not overwhelming and definitely not grassy or salty. Next a well balancing caramel malt surfaces. They call this a session beer and I’d agree that it goes down very easy, but there’s no lack of flavour. Low bitterness at the very end. Peach and clove notes. Light to medium body with low carbonation and an tiny bite of astringency in the lingering hop bitterness. Excellent but not a whole lot to it.

An ale for lovers of extremely thin-bodied, metallic beers. It’s got quite a bit of hop bite, but its most notable trait is the massive LACK of MALT! Remarkably so. I almost wondered at first if the beer was infected because it’s so fizzy (I’ve concluded it probably isn’t). Lots of citrus and spice here. Crisp and probably refreshing if you go for this sort of very dry, fizzy, citrus-brew.

Touts itself as a session beer, and it is just mild enough and flavorful enough to qualify. A nice and relaxing brew.
