Commercial Description:
A mildly hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Soft and fruity with light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt. 34 IBU 1.048 OG

12oz bottle, no date from riversideAK. Clear golden orange with a 1/2 finger white head, fading to a fing and thin film rather quickly. More hops than I’d expected--pine and florals with some biscuity malts and honey in the background. Flavor was pretty much the same with the moderate hop presence turning more piney, and plenty of sweet biscuity malts and honey on the malt end. Bitterness peaked around a 3 1/2 in the back corners of my tongue. Low carbonation with a light body. I’m going to mirror Naven’s comment that I was pleasantly surprised, and would have no problem sessioning this for a night.

Bottle. Pleasantly surprised by this one. Nice golden color, very drinkable. Surprisingly hoppy. Well done and very much a session beer. I have yet to be disappointed by Pike.

Strong fruity esters with citrus hops in the nose. Hazy yellowish blonde body is topped by a shy white head that recedes rapidly to a partial cover. Clean fresh and fruity flavour with plenty of citrus, some pineapple and some peach/apricot. Fair bitterness keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying. Floral and toasty notes in the aftertaste. Medium light body is quite dry with moderate carbonation. Reasonable complexity for a light summer sipper although I wouldn’t mind just a touch more carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Jun-08).

Golden body with light head. Aroma is bready with a touch of fruit. A little sweet and flat with some underlying malt tones. Simplistic.
