Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Sep 13, 2006 Bright amber colour. Beautiful fresh grain aroma. Now boys and girls, this is what I want in a nose....something, even if you’re only brewing a stock golden ale. The flavour is lighter, with a more obscure malt character and a light woody bitterness. Good for the style. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 16, 2006 On tap at Pike Pub, Seattle. Golden with off white head. Attractive grapefruit hop aroma. Nice in mouth grapefruit and tangerine flavour. Great tasting beer, hops on end are not too extreme, bit juicier than JHB, bit fuller malt, but nearly as good. Very drinkable. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 28, 2006 12 oz bottle labeled best before Sept. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of lemons and some sweet malts. Tastes of the same but had a lightly sour finish. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Jun 19, 2004 Tap@Pike. Sweet and smooth butter and toffee flavours, a bit like Bass i think, perhaps a little better. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Dec 6, 2005 (Bottle) Pours a clear golen body with a moderate white head. Aroma of florals, citrus, and toffee. Flavor of mild hops and caramel. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 11, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining thin light tan head that laces and yellow/gold color. Aroma is mild citrus. Taste is citrus hops, secondary medium malt. Light/medium body. OK carbonation. Easy drinking. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 20, 2006 Draught Slim off-white head; hazy yellow-orange. C-hops in a discreet way, grapefruit and a hint of cookie dough. Good mix of sweet and fruity acidity - and remarkably little bitterness. Terribly light & watery texture. Need a beef-up of 1- 1.5% ABV and corresponding malt bill to make an excellent drinking ale. Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Aug 2, 2009 Pours gold with a white head. Smells of toasted malt, some fruity hints. Tastes breaddy and fruity with a sweet peppery finish.
