For the most part this descriptiuon runs true. Golden colour, a fruity nose (from both yeast and hops), thin palate, and mildly fruity hop flavour with supporting malt. Quick thin finish. kyzr (1127), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2003 Light fruit on the aroma and flavor. Good thick amber color to it. First hit of flavor was the malt, with a finish that is slightly bitter. Like someone said before, the bottle dosen't do it justice, its much better drinking on tap right up from Pikes street market. ditmier (1117), Boise, Idaho, USA

Nice carbonation, citrus and hay aroma, very light taste that still delivers a decent bitter end, not a bad beer... robforbes (1110), Bremerton, Washington, USA

Pours a clear golden copper with a very small head. Aroma of flowery citrus lemony hops. Taste is a very refreshing one that starts with caraeml, then lemon, and finishes with some freah bread and orange. Well carbonated fizzy finish. And there was even some strawberry in the middle somewhere. A somewhat lingering mildly bitter aftertaste. Good sumer session beer.*********11/16/06 rerate---scored the same except adding 1 point for flavor, but perception is a littledifferent..notcing some toffee/vanilla flavors now-12 oz bottle via Liquid Solutions. Pours a semi-clear copper with a small white head. Nose is of vanilla, some floral hops, yeast and ginger. Tastes like it smells, with the vanilla/toffee up front, and finishes with soem bittersweet floral hops. Light/medium body. Medium carbonation. Very refreshing and quaffable. Pretty good session beer and may make a great gateway beer for adventuresome macro-swillers. Reid (1092), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2003 Pale Ale from this brewery tonight the memorably named "Naughty Nellies Ale"..named after to a madam who ran a house of ill repute were the Pike Brewery is now..ah the good old days!
This ale is certainlly ligter in color when poured..light brown again a wee bit of haze and a good sized head that sticks around.
smell is nice again..sweet malts and slightly more hop aroma shows through.
Taste is ok more hoppy but paradoxically weaker than the Pale Ale..not much aftertase.
Ok in the mouth ..buit again tends towards the watery side.
Pretty good session brew..as it suggests on the label.
