Commercial Description:
A mildly hopped beer with a complex malt character, and a soft creamy head. Soft and fruity with light yeast esters of apricot and orange. It is a refreshing and crisp session beer, with just enough hops to balance and round out the sweetness of the malt. 34 IBU 1.048 OG

Draft at Bick’s. Clear golden body with a small white head that before long turns into a ghost of lacing on the side of the glass. Very easy to drink--tiny bubbles rising in thin columns; crisp herbal hops on top of a lightweight but very present malt base. The nose is a fragrant, plant-like hop. Very refreshing and good with food.

Bottle. Pleasantly surprised by this one. Nice golden color, very drinkable. Surprisingly hoppy. Well done and very much a session beer. I have yet to be disappointed by Pike.

8/18/2007: Pike Naughty Nellie is a nice golden copper color and has a mild to moderate amount of carbonation. The frothy off-white head leaves behind finely speckled lacing. The aroma is a nice orangy citrus with some light toasty malt. The flavor contains a light amount of toffee malt balanced by a mild to moderate level of citrus and pine hop flavor and bitterness. The body is medium-light to medium, but can come across as a tad thin from time to time. This is an easy to drink beer with characteristics similar to those of a good pale ale.

Draught (pint) at Milano’s in Glacier, Washington. Rating #96 for this beer...

12 oz bottle via Liquid Solutions. Pours a clear golden copper with a very small head. Aroma of flowery citrus lemony hops. Taste is a very refreshing one that starts with caraeml, then lemon, and finishes with some freah bread and orange. Well carbonated fizzy finish. And there was even some strawberry in the middle somewhere. A somewhat lingering mildly bitter aftertaste. Good sumer session beer.*********11/16/06 rerate---scored the same except adding 1 point for flavor, but perception is a littledifferent..notcing some toffee/vanilla flavors now-12 oz bottle via Liquid Solutions. Pours a semi-clear copper with a small white head. Nose is of vanilla, some floral hops, yeast and ginger. Tastes like it smells, with the vanilla/toffee up front, and finishes with soem bittersweet floral hops. Light/medium body. Medium carbonation. Very refreshing and quaffable. Pretty good session beer and may make a great gateway beer for adventuresome macro-swillers.

Pours a light gold with a thin white head and some lace. Aroma is primarily of biscuit, and palate is almost chewy--not thin at all. Maybe I got a good batch. Tastes of roasted malt, bread, pepper, and just lightly bittered.

Slightly cloudy amber color, small white head that left a slight lacing on the sides.Light malt aroma with a fairly strong hop presence and slight spicy tone to it.The feel is thin but for a taste it is semi-sweet with a decent hopping and slight bitterness to it.the after taste is mildly citrus and mildly hopped,Fairly decent brew and worth the shipping it took to get it here.

A light aroma of fruit and malt. Light amber color with a white head that was not huge. Starts fruity, like stone fruit, then orange develops. The cabonation is moderate and it is less than medium bodied. The malt sweetness is not harsh or roasted, but it is noticeable in the finish, where a light fruity bitter is also present. Very drinkable. It gets even tastier as consumption proceeds.
