Commercial Description:
Named to commemorate the La Salle Hotel, once a Seattle bawdy house and the original home of the Pike Brewing Company. Old Bawdy is a vintage-dated, high-gravity beer brewed with peated Scotch malt. It has a deep golden bronze color, a fruity rich taste, and an aggressive and dominating hop character with smoky undertones that are reminiscent of Scotch whiskey.

2007 vintage on tap @ Humpy’s Anchorage, AK. Pours a clear dark amber with a very small light tan head. Aroma if dates, caramel, alcohol and a bit o honey. The flavor is big and sweet with plenty of hop bitterness to balance it out, there was a light alcohol taste too. Medium to full body with a mild carbonation and a thick syrupy mouth feel. Nice Barley Wine.

Bottle@UDRM, vintage 2007. Beautiful balanced, malty, fruity Barley Wine. Besides that the necessary hops are present. This makes it balanced, flavourful and for a Barley Wine highly drinkable.
