Commercial Description:
Named to commemorate the La Salle Hotel, once a Seattle bawdy house and the original home of the Pike Brewing Company. Old Bawdy is a vintage-dated, high-gravity beer brewed with peated Scotch malt. It has a deep golden bronze color, a fruity rich taste, and an aggressive and dominating hop character with smoky undertones that are reminiscent of Scotch whiskey.

Impressive, thick head. Cloudy orange, amber color. Extensive chunky lace on the glass. Strong brown sugar and molasses smell--very rich aroma. Excellent blend of flavors--slightly sweet, strong alcohol with a good kick of hop bitterness at the end. Yet, the swallow has a fortified wine air to it. Bittersweet aftertaste. Rich liquor as expected.

Bottle from ericandersnavy... Bomber poured into a snifter. Small head that faded quickly, nice dark red color. Sugary/Malty aroma. Also some nice hops shine through. Taste is malty, touch of fruits, hops, light smoke and even some moss notes. Not thick in texture but definelty above average... Well balanced and easy to sip on. Thanks Eric.

Bottle sample shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy orange copper color with a moderate frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate fruity, earthy and small caramel malty aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy prune bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a complex standout beer.

07 bottle courtesy Blutt59. Reddish brown pour with a thick tan head. Big hop dominant aroma with hints of smoke and caramel. Thick mouth feel with lots of malt, but grapefruit style hops are still very dominant after two years. Bitterness has dyed down a little, seems like the perfect time to drink this.

1998 Bottle - Thanks wildaho! - Pours a thick brown with very little head...aroma is sweet, sweet malt, dark fruits, light charred wood...flavour is roasty malt, grape must, honey, and a bit grainy/granular on the end, like it’s on its last legs...had an enjoyable vinous quality, good to experience...

Daytona 500 tasting. 2007 bomber. Amber with a tan head. Fruity and earthy, brown sugar and a hint of peat. Good but not great.
