KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jun 16, 2006 Tap at brewery. Pours too clear and water; aroma of lemon, wheat, and hops. Flavor: pilsner? Anemic hops and malt. Watery palate. Deceptive; this is a PILSNER, not a WEISSE. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 20, 2006 Draught Hazy greenish-yellow beer, persistent small white rim. A hint of wheat and vanilla in the nose. Wheat sourness, some unripe banana. Certain adstringency, and terribly light beer. This is an absolutely UN-German Weizen. Terrible. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Apr 5, 2006 Hazy, not quite cloudy, and golden. Have you had your wheaties today, smells like breakfast cereal, with a spritz of lemony citrus, a hint of fruit and clove bubblegum. Very light and boring. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Feb 6, 2006 Hazy yellow beer. Very light citrus (lemon) and wheaty aroma. A bit of peach and bubble gum as well. Could have been better with some more maltiness and a much fuller body. Pretty boring. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Sep 1, 2005 (Draft: Pike Pub & Brewery in Seattle, WA) Sweet, spicy nose, with kind of odd maltiness. Hmm, one of the stranger wheat beers I’ve tried, it’s taken me a few minutes to place the aroma, but it’s just like opening a fresh bag of wheat bread. The wheat malt seems a bit toasty, like it’s been freshly harvested, and sweet, like it’s been slightly caramelized. Very light bitterness comes out in the finish. Light bodied, with enough wheat malt so that it’s not watery. Pale golden in color, and fairly hazy, it’s topped by a small white head that settles to a ring. Some patchy lacing at the top of the glass. Very different, but once over the shock, I like it. porterdude (170), Bellingham, Washington, USA Aug 22, 2005 On tap at brewery. Pretty dark for a a regualr wheat. No real aroma, maybe some wheat berries, not sure it would have been very faint. Flavor was "this beer might be past its prime" seems that the beer had a cardboardy and malt flavor. Didnt even taste like an American Wheat. BückDich (4777), McCall, Idaho, USA Jul 6, 2004 The aroma is wheaty with light head and a pale copper color. Lightly malty with some light fruit. The flavor is dry & 2-rowish. Finishes bad. heykevin (1269), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 7, 2004 Water and wheat on the nose, (american wheat style) no clove/banana. Thinnish and oddly bitter late.
