harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Oct 16, 2006 On tap at Pike Pub, Seattle. Filtered wheat beer. Gold/orange with beige head. Cereal/lemon aroma. Dull weisse, bit bland, syrupy in mouth. Where’s the lemon/herb/banana. A little bubblgum and some hop on end. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 20, 2006 Draught Hazy greenish-yellow beer, persistent small white rim. A hint of wheat and vanilla in the nose. Wheat sourness, some unripe banana. Certain adstringency, and terribly light beer. This is an absolutely UN-German Weizen. Terrible. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Feb 6, 2006 Hazy yellow beer. Very light citrus (lemon) and wheaty aroma. A bit of peach and bubble gum as well. Could have been better with some more maltiness and a much fuller body. Pretty boring. jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands May 7, 2009 Tap@Brewpub. Strong banana aroma with some lemon. Hazy, dark yellow colour, white head, good lace. Sweetish, banana, hint of grapefruit, bitter for a Weizen. Refreshing, high drinkability, not really special but more than OK. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Jul 6, 2004 The aroma is wheaty with light head and a pale copper color. Lightly malty with some light fruit. The flavor is dry & 2-rowish. Finishes bad. anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Jul 17, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy golden color wuth a small white head. Fruity malty aroma with hints of citrus. Fruity and very wheat malty flavor with hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty finish with more of the citrus in the aftertaste. Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Oct 18, 2009 A lightly hazed golden weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, intense bananas, cloves and aromatic esters, intense and nice. In mouth, a light wheat malt with intense cloves, light aniseed, thinner than expected but very good. On tap at brewpub, Sept. 12 2009. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 22, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in downtown Seattle, WA. Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring and minimal lacing. Aroma of very light white bread malt, some yeast and orange zest. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of multi-grain light malt, lemon and a touch of citrus zest. Finish is semi-dry with a mild bitterness and some citrus aftertaste. It’s missing some of the Hefeweizen character with cloves and banana but it is still a decent summer light beer.
