Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin white ring and minimal lacing. Aroma of very light white bread malt, some yeast and orange zest. Taste is light bodied, some extra carbonation with flavors of multi-grain light malt, lemon and a touch of citrus zest. Finish is semi-dry with a mild bitterness and some citrus aftertaste. It’s missing some of the Hefeweizen character with cloves and banana but it is still a decent summer light beer. riversideAK (2803), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Draught at Pike. Pours a dark gold color. Does not look unfiltered. Thin head. Aroma of wheat malt and cereal. The flavor is much of the same. Pretty bland and light. A decent crisp finish is probably the highlight of this one. holdenn (1449), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 20, 2006 Draught Hazy greenish-yellow beer, persistent small white rim. A hint of wheat and vanilla in the nose. Wheat sourness, some unripe banana. Certain adstringency, and terribly light beer. This is an absolutely UN-German Weizen. Terrible. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Pretty wheaty aroma. Uncloudy look. Falvor is better though. Not that wheay, with a good light character. Drinkable. KAggie97 (2482), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 16, 2006 Tap at brewery. Pours too clear and water; aroma of lemon, wheat, and hops. Flavor: pilsner? Anemic hops and malt. Watery palate. Deceptive; this is a PILSNER, not a WEISSE. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 20, 2008 Nice refreshing beer, but lacking a little in the wheat department. Sampled from draught pours a pleasent bright golden colour which is semi cloudy. Aroma is of pears and green apples. Taste is refreshing, clean but not at all wheaty.
