| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Bottle shared with Your Dark Lord and Landseer. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma was uncharacteristic of a stout, as it smelled like a belgian ale and pot pourri, with just some faint dark roast. Full bodied, but with a medium texture- not as thick as I was expecting. Flavor of dark roast and coffee, but with very little sweetness. Hoppy and earthy finish. Perhaps this one may have been past it’s prime? MesandSim (5818), London, Greater London, England

Bottle at Chris O’s Shindig. Black as night. Rich roasty aroma that is very good indeed. Thick dark chocolate flavour with coffee, vanilla and more roasted malt. Gloriously smooth on the palate. Full bodied stout that is fairly straight down the line but jolly tasty.
