Nose had coffee and raosted malts, trace of smoke. Coffeeee up front, and very dry, some bittering in this. Very easy to drink, no trace of the 6% in this. Very good brew here, would love try more from them. Doppelganger (1353), Dry County, Arkansas, USA

Black olive aroma, chocolate, dark rum, vanilla--very nice. Clean chocolate flavor, the perfect amount of heat to give it punch. Vanilla. A really well-crafted stout. This one is full of bittersweet chocolate and coffee. Slightly roasty with hints of fruit and hops. It has the silky mouthfeel of an oatmeal stout. Tasty. j12601 (1338), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Pours a deep jet black, viscous, with a thin dark tan head which swells a bit with agitation. Really nice aroma with plum, roast, caramel, coffee, and a touch of dark cocoa. Medium bodied, really smooth and roasty, with some nice dark chocolate notes. Long smooth roast bitter finish with a little light char flavor coming through. This was really good. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 23, 2009 Strong roasted malt aroma, very dark brown, creamy small tan head, lacing all down the glass. Nice 1.5 stout. Heavier than yr typical stout, smaller than an imperial. Just beefy with a scowl. Intense roast, dry grain, kick ass. boFNjackson (1321), Portland, Oregon, USA

Roasted, wood and oak flavors with a dark chocolate presence. This was surprisingly better than I’d hope. Resinous and chalky with a nice, creamy palate. Very noticeable oak and wood flavors. A little hoppy and chocolaty. Coffee, and smoked malted finish.
