Commercial Description:
A full-bodied beer with deep chocolate color, velvety malt texture, and a dark-roasted flavor, with hints of smokiness and coffee. It combines the dryness of traditional Dublin-style stout with the strength and character of Imperial Stout.

Dark black in colour, deep roasted scent, light consistency but nice after taste. A respectable stout.

Deep Dark body, just a hint of brown around the edges. Thin, light brown head. Looks good... Way roasty nose w/dark chocolate notes, espresso and alcohol. Rich, smooth and surprisingly strong. Dry, roastey, super stouty finish: coffee beans, alcohol, lots of bitter cocoa and a hint of rich smoke. I just can't believe that something this good comes from 4 ingredients. WOW

Appearance: Basically black, with dark brown head. Though not too much of it. Aroma: Burnt, smoked. Coffee. Taste: Quite burnt, coffee. String, heavy aftertaste. Maybe some chocolate. Info: 660ml bottle, 27/10-2007

A hefty stout indeed. Although only 6% alcohol, the flavor packs a real wallop. Tons of dark roasted malt, espresso and dark chocolate flavors. Dense, almost brown head; very full bodied and thick. A true ’motor oil stout’. More flavor and muscle than some so-called Imperial Stouts I’ve had (Grant’s for example).

bomber. Pours black witha beautiful brown head which lasted to produce intricate lacing. Smell is of roast malt with a hint of smoke. taste is of roast malt and harsh coffee. Mouthfeel is medium with a bitter, dry chalk finish. ok brew.

Black with short lived tan head. Nose has a lot of roast with some sugary fruit, alcohol, slight hop and vanilla. Flavor is quite roasty and rather bitter, but it’s balanced by chocolate and fresh hop in the long finish. Nice beer, well rounded. and quite effective.

The following beer was brought to me by Sham. When you wanna trade beer, Sham is the man! This brew pours black. Well it's a stout what do you expect? It's black, it's dark and there are some ruby edges to it when the light is there. The head is thick and light brown. The aroma is weird. Where is this 95 rating coming from? Has some coffee notes but nothing standing out really. Body is on the thin side. Flavor is bitter and reminding me of that nasty Java Stout from Bells. Has some roasted malt flavors and more like spent coffee grinds in my opinion. The bottle reads "Limited Release" and let me tell you,it should be as limited as possible. Try again Pike.

Outstanding. A nice suprise considering it didn’t appear to be much of anything special. It looked like a redheaded stepchild but packed all the right flavors. Chocolate, a little coffee, some toasty flavors, all-around goodness
