Everything about this suggests it is something solid and firm. It pours from the heavy weight bottle an opaque brown with creamy brown head and decent lacing. The aroma is alive with smoky chocolate malt with the strength of an Imperial Stout. The mouthfeel is creamy and bold. The taste tingles with coffee, chocolate and hops and settles fine on the palate. This was a topnotch stout. darn1207 (603), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

The nose showed smokey aromas of dark chocolate, coffee graonds and a bit of vanilla. In the mouth it was medium-bodied with plenty of carbonation. A nice, easily drinkable stout. cbeers21 (583), Miami, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Thanks to brewdad for giving me the chance to try this. Poured thick and black, small brown head. Smell was chocolate and bitter roast. Taste was a big bitter kick at first, then fading into rich chocolate, smoke and roast. For a normal stout, this packs some flavor. I really enjoyed this one. Firemoose15 (542), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
