Flavor remains all about the malt through the bitterness. Keeps its great tan head throughout. The best of the Pike ales I tried. savnac (448), Palmer, Alaska, USA

Nose has a lot of roast with some sugary fruit, alcohol, slight hop and vanilla. Flavor is quite roasty and rather bitter, but it’s balanced by chocolate and fresh hop in the long finish. Nice beer, well rounded. and quite effective.
