Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
A more robust, malty beer with a balanced hop flavour, a true best bitter. The same hops as Surrey but a higher percentage of these and 10% Crystal malt.

Cask at Kingston BF, 28th June 2008, with renffisch. Coppery amber with a little bit of head. Toffee, biscuit and hop notes on the nose and in the flavour, which is improved by a peaty hit to the back of the throat. Decent, but not outstanding.

cask @ kingston 08. salty and grassy hop nose. Dark copper in colour, little creamy thin off-white head. Cardboard taste, malty with a bit of peat in the back, dry but not very bitter, shortlived palate.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Criterion Leicester. A dark amber coloured beer. The aroma is malty and there are bready notes. The taste is fruity with some alcohol warmth. Quite decent and punching above its weight as far as strength is concerned.

Pint pulled at The Crown Inn in Groomsbridge (Kent), brown with a white foamy head. A malty aroma with some caramal. A smooth palate with a rich and warm maly flavour. A good solid ale.
