Ethereal (927), London, Greater London, England May 31, 2008 Cask at the Trafalgar with Mes, 25th April 2008. The landlord told us that this is going to be exclusive to the Trafalgar and I have to say that this is a really special bitter for a top notch pub. Clear gold with a slight haziness, you are wowed as soon as the glass gets near your nose. The aroma combines mature cheese, smoked meat and peat notes. These continue into the flavour and stretched into a lingering bitter finish by the perfect hop balance. Great beer and well worth travelling to the Traf to sample. Mes_and_Sim (4477), Highgate, Greater London, England May 5, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at the Trafalgar. Clean golden blonde with a thin white film. Damn what a beer this is. Bloody gorgeous. Lovely fresh hoppage, excellent earthy malt and a superb light sweetness. Excellent aged cheese and some smoky peaty notes. Glorious dryness in a lip smacking bitter finish. Fantastic balance. Bloody good beer.
