Oct 10, 2009 Draught sample at the Portland location. Good classic pils in every way. Clear, bubbly pour and really pretty flavourful for the style. Very enjoyable.

Sep 13, 2009 Draught at Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Portland.
Very pale yellow color. Bohemian aroma, grainy cereal malts, rather fruity. Very fruity flavor, grainy, balanced but light hops. Very drinkable. Straightforward stuff.

Sep 7, 2009 Clear pale yellow. On draft at the brewpub. Very sessionable, but not an especially quality beer. Mostly sweet grassy malt. Needed way more of the usual pilsener (saaz?) hops to make this a great beer. Watery throughout, especially in the immediately vanishing finish. Grassy aroma with some sweet honey. No complexity at all. Tasted more like 4% alc.

Jul 28, 2009 Had this on draft at the Deschutes Public House in Portland’s Pearl Dist. Colour... light golden with only a wisp of head. Nose... decent hop nose, honeysuckle, beeswax. Palate... burst of C02 on the tongue, gently hops, clover honey, grainy on the back palate. Not overly complex but a subtle, decent pils.

Crystal clear extrememely light pale yellow. Small quick white head.
faint lemony note in the aroma along with light cereal hint as well.
Flavor is very light but surprisingly pleasant. A little citrusy flavor, but
not the hop kind. More lemony. Crisp clean feel and refreshing. The buzz words for pilsner actually suddenly make sense. I once told a fellow beer geek about how I despised the style in general for its lack of flavor and character. He explained, well a good pilsner should be flavorful, crisp, and not bland. I now finally know just what he meant.
He was right, and this one is it.

Jul 22, 2009 Flip top fill from Bend Pours out a crisp gold topped with a foam white head. Aroma toast malts a little corn flake. Some sweetness and a touch of grass. Tast more of the toast malts. A nice fresh light citrus touch. Very tasty pils. Thanks PL
