Nisse666 (313), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 23, 2009 Sweden 50 cl, 10 C 20091022. Big strong head! Flavor etc Czech standard pilzner - but the best even better then the stronger ones. Better hop caracter! fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark May 6, 2009 Bottle 50cl. @ [ Thisted tasting ]. [ Courtesy of Maria ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light ot moderate bitter with a average duration, and some peppery notes in the finish. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20090316] Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Mar 21, 2009 Thisted tasting. It is golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw and light flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and a refreshing and dry bitterness and notes of malt and light flower. It’s not bad, even if it only has 3,5%. yespr (11644), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 30, 2008 50 cL can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a one finger thick and chalk white head. Aroma is vague butterish and with a mild cornish note. Mild sweet malt flavoured, light butterish and caramel note too. Vague cornish note into a mild bitter finish. Marsiblursi (1631), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 14, 2008 (Bottle) Pours clear golden with small white head. The aroma is of straw/hay-like malt and weak Saaz hop tones of grass, light herbs and some light floral hints. The nose is too clean and lifeless to be enjoyable. The flavour is light malty and medium-light hoppy with tones of straw and grass. Light sweet and light to medium bitter. The mouthfeel is clean and dry. Light bodied. The “original” 4.4 % is much better. DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 29, 2008 Silver Foil bottles, about thirty cents from convenience store in old Prague. Paler and weaker than its golden-capped brother - but in these very fresh bottles is showing some decent hop aroma. A good session beer for wandering around Kampa Park. (comprised from notes on trip 1995) Egon (392), Gothenburg, Sweden Mar 18, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden with white head. More bitterness in this than the Åbro Bryggmästarens Bästa Pilsener 3.5% I tried before. A bit dry and a hint of grass. Not as good as the original but not that bad. As the other 3.5 % pilsener it is thin but that comes with the low alcohol I guess. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Jan 13, 2008 (Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with hints of toffee and lots of grassy hops, almost metallic. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of toffee and lots of grassy hops in the finish. Rather dry. Defintely thinner than the original version, but otherwise very much in line with that one. One of the better 3,5% beers on the swedish market.
