Tap, straight from the barrel in the Urquell cellars.
Pours a wonderful hazy coppery golden with the creamiest, most white-looking head I’ve ever seen. And it stays there for a million years - even after sipping. Afterwards, quite a lot of the head is laced all over the sides of my glass (not plastic cup, thankfully). Aroma is good, though it’s very subdued. Some oak, fresh grassy hops, grainy maltiness and a biscuity character shows up. Incredible mouthfeel for a pilsner, low carbonation, easily drinkable and very creamy. Flavour starts of with a pleasant sweetness, a strong malty character, very crisp and clean. Finish has good defining bitterness with great hop flavours and subdued oakiness. Aftertaste is amazingly long, dry and oaky... amazing!

On draught on tour at the brewery. A hazy golden colored beer, with a beautiful white thick head. The aroma of hops, malt and some wood. The taste of hop bitters, a little bit sweet with malty and wood notes. Drink it slowly, the temperature rises and it will be more tastefull. It has a lovely dry bitter aftertaste.

(Rating #1967)

[I don’t need to say where I got this] Plenty of fresh czech hops in the nose together with a citrusy sulfur. Hazy caramel with a lasting clingy white foam. Excellent caramel maltiness behind a fairly assertive bitterness that seems to be more rounded in the filtered version. Tons of fresh hops flavour, but also fermentation sulfur and even some DMS. They tell me that’s it’s impossible, but I’m sure that I could detect a hint of aromatic oak in the very end as I licked my lips. Medium body and a lasting bitterness. Moderate carbonation--higher than one may expect from a cask.
