Tap at pivovarsky Klub. Poured clear golden body with a good looking foamy white hhead. Rich aroma of bottom fermentation yeast and floral hop. Smooth mouthfeel with tha flavor of pale malt, sourish and fine yeast, floral ho[p. Dry aftertaste. Fine but i expected more about that famous unfiltered beer...

Draught at U Pinkasu, pours light gold, tall frothy white head. Nose is light and floral. Very full bodied malt flavors with a lovely soft sazz bitterness. More mellowed in the finish than the bottled. Very refreshing pilsner.

Drunk this in the brewery on a tour. Golden body and a foamy white head. Delicious pilsner. Probably THE pilsener.

Draught Na Parkanu. Hazy orange colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is very refreshing, fruity with a medium bitterness. Grapey fruity hop flavour. Very drinkable and good.

This may just be the world’s best beer. Unfortunately you’ll have to go all the way to Plzen to get some, as it is only available at the end of a Pilsner Urquell brewery tour or in the Na Parkanu Restaurant at the brewery museum. I would suggest, however, that it is well worth the trip. I had it at the end of the tour, in the brewery cellars, on tap, straight from an oak barrel, surely the best way invented to drink beer. Unfortunately they only give you a very small glass, because this stuff is fantastic! The yeast present gives it a cloudy gold appearance, and it pours with quite a large, firm head. Its bitterness is mild, and dominated by the strong, fruity flavour. The palate is nice and crisp, and it finishes smoothly. An almost completely faultless beer. It is simply a brilliant, shining example of what beer can be!

Draught at Na Parkanu, Plzen. Hazy orange with a creamy white head. Aroma of malt, yeast and grassy saaz hop notes. Flavour is sweet malt, bread and a clean, crisp bitterness from the hops. Dry and hoppy finish. A remarkable beer.

(draught, at Na Parkanu, Pilsen) pours a hazy golden colour with a tall layer of dense white foam. distinct aroma of buttery, honeyed pale malts and herbal hops, more mellow and grainy than the standard version. flavour is more pronounced, with full honeyed pale malts and herbal hops, light notes of yeast and caramel. a full-bodied pilsner with medium carbonation and a smooth, light bitter finish.
