Hazy brown colour with a little head. Light aroma of malt and caramel. Flavour of bitter hops, caramel, and malt. Ends up bitter.

Mar 30, 2008 Many moons ago I remember this being served in pints(!) on draught at the original Malthouse on Willis St in Wellington. This rating comes from just the bottled version (a mere 330mls), pouring a cola-like brown with a frothy light beige head. A sweet but light malty aroma, toffee and spiced notes. A pretty light mouthfeel for its 7%, the caramal malt palate carries with it stewed fruit and tangy flavours, with an increasing salty and sour hop presence in the bittering finish. Dangerounsly easy to drink....

Mar 25, 2008 From bottle, 2A Papsoes New Zealand vs US blind tasting. Pours hazy orange/brown with a lacing off-white head. Light wineous and mild hoppy aroma. Flavour is light hoppy and mild caramel with a light chocolate smoothness. Light citrusy and mild liqourice-ish flavour into the finish. Toffee like caramel in the far finish.
