Flowery and yeasty on the nose. Has a malty/ figgy /raisiny quality which i find a little surprising for the style. Overall an interesting beer, glad I tried it but probably wont consider again yomintyfresh (53), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 13, 2007 This is actually one of my favorite Hefeweizen beers. Sweet but not too sweet, tart but not too tart, more banana-y than citrus-y (what I prefer in a Hefeweizen), very filling. Not so bad in a bottle but preferable on tap. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 10, 2007 I’m swimming against the tide, but I really enjoyed this beer. Poured to a hazy whitish yellow, with bright white head that lasted well and left okay lacing. Aroma was a pleasant mix of cookie dough, wheat and fruits...mostly bananas, with hints of apples. Mouthfeel was a little tingly, a little chewy. What I enjoyed most about this beer was the taste, which was a little bubblegum, mixed with sugar cookies ( a veryy odd combination, but darned tasty). As the beer warmed, the sugar cookie taste became more prominent, all leading to a very pleasant finish that was just sweet enough and long lasting. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 3, 2007 Rated 2/17/07: I just couldn’t get into this one, rather bland German Hefe. Aroma is of dry and slightly sour wheat. Cloudy yellow pour with a decent white head, little to no lacing. Mouthfeel was shallow yet crisp, too light for my liking. Bland taste, mostly light wheat malt. Very little if any fruit flavors, weak yeast. This is more comparable to an American Wheat, a style that has yet to impress me. Better off getting yourself a Franziskaner, Ayinger, or Weihenstaphener. ajolly2 (127), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2007 very hazy appearance; light head; mild fruit (banana), hops, and malt in the nose; an above average malt taste, especially for a Hefe.; a little watery on the palate; overall very very refreshing. bhensonb (4345), Woodland, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2007 Light lemony aroma, definitely banana, and perhaps a bit of yeast. Hazy gold color and a white head that laces a bit in its own small way. Medium mouthfeel that thins, light lemon, a bit of musty yeast, and then towards the finish a bare hint of banana. Actually maybe less than that. Very, very light bitter in the finish. Very refreshing. It would be a great beer to have around the pool. Something of a summer thing. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 Pours a fairly cloudy medium amber-brown. The nose is wheaty with some alcohol and very lightly fruity. The taste is maltier than the southern weizenbiers, actually like a very light pilsener, and has very little of the spicy or fruity notes. It is definitely not like the Bavarian weizenbiers. If you must have certified organic beer, this is not bad. But if you want a great weizenbier buy one of the Bavarians or the Austrian "Edelweiss". themightyomega (82), New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 30, 2007 Bottle: Pours pale gold, very hazy, white head. Aroma of hops and vague banana. Wheaty taste, good balance between sweetness and hops. Clears off the palate fast, thin mouthfeel. A wiezen for those who like lagers, but still pretty good.
