Taste is fantastic with very light sour notes, tastes darker than it looks. (it looks a bit like a hefe). Overall a very nice beer. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 20, 2008 500ml - Aroma is pretty much all toasted malt with a touch of lemon. Pours transparent yellow with a medium head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a sweet finish. Palate is crisp and clean. Nothing special, but easy drinking. gsmitty80 (653), Washington DC, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Pours a clear yellow with good head and lacing. Tastes like a German alt, although the best one i’ve ever had. Last drink of the night so i don’t remember much to give this one a proper ranking. HughConway (367), Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Poured out a 500 ml bottle this was a cloudy gold, with a big foamy white head and good lacing. Mose of light malt, and citrus hops. Zingy mouthfeel, and a flavor of caramel hops and again those citrus hops. Long dry finish. Well made beer. Rynoplasty (545), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a big white head. Aroma is of light malts, pretty decent. Taste is pale malts as well, with a little bit of spice from the yeast. Not a bad beer. boFNjackson (1322), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2008 Bottle... Poured bright, sunny, gold color with a white head, nice lacing. Sweet malt aroma. Flavors of tart yeast with hops and malt. Very floral. Mild skunky aftertaste that isn’t overbearing. Very dry, crisp finish. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 19, 2008 Mar. 2007 - Pour looked like lemon juice, hazy pale yellow with okay head, no lacing. Aroma was of grass and lemons. The flavor was more of the same, sweet malt with a lemon citrus zing, some grassiness that was not pleasant. Mouthfeel was overcarbonated. I don’t know how this is considered an altbier, seemed like a pilsner, only slightly better than the american pale lager macros.
