Pours a hazy golden color with a dense white head. Aroma of green bananas, slightly musty yeast, lemon and cantaloupe. Flavor is bready, herbal, and lemony, and has a sweet and sour (tangy?) quality that in my experience is unique for the style. Mildy acidic. Just the slightest hint of hops bitterness at the back of the throat balances the sweetness very nicely. One of many German beers that make me want to pack my bags and wander around Germany for a couple weeks...or years.

Rated 9/8/06: Mellow aroma of sweet breads, lightly spicy. Dark yellow with a huge white creamy top and nice lacing, slow carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and creamy at the very start but finished with a little bit of a thin quality. Flavor is mild and easy on the palate making this alt very drinkable. Slightly sweet with a good breadiness. Enjoyable but slightly better than average.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color. sort of like a creamy pilsner. Not as much bit as a pilsner. hints of honey and grain. all in all a nice lighter style beer

A lightly hazed blonde with a lacing white head. A very grassy malt aroma, with chalky notes. In mouth, a light dry malt with light german crisp hops. A light bodied alt, lacking character. Jan. 2007.

Cloudy, grayish gold. Light malt and gain aroma. Medium body, with a very sweet and fruity taste. Slight hop flavors, with a grainy finish that lingers a bit too long.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a small whtie head. Malty grainy, honey nose with a light hopping. Slightly spicey hops come through to try to balance, it stays on the sweeter side. Malts give a light honey flavor followed by a earthy, doughy, finish. Crisp and fruity in the finish. Unlike most alts i’ve had, but still a very enjoyable brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear light golden with a small short lived head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of fresh European malt with a light noble hoppiness. Taste is the same with hints of citrus. Very different from other alts but very enjoyable.

Big carbonation with a hard water taste. Citrusy, quite light for an alt. Nice malty complexity. A slight tartness hangs around on the tongue. Very drinkable.
