| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Poured a copper color with a nice off-white head, decent retention with good lacing. The aroma was fruity esters (lighter fruits, less of the dark fruits) over a spicey base, very hard to determine (primarily yeasty components, anise maybe also in there?). The flavor was nice, deceptively drinkable, very crisp for a beer this strong or anything belgian, excellent bitter hop balance at the end of each sip, again very drinkable. Featured flavors were grapes and other light fruits, some light caramel, gentle peppery spicing, a touch of coriander/cloviness, a lot going on. A smooth beer, even if this isn’t the prototypical take on a Quad... in that case it’s an excellent Belgian Strong Saison. Nice job, Ric! Papsoe (15105), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 19, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with a neat, white head leaving some lacework. Soft, malty aroma. Medium body with a heavy carbonation. Very clean, malty accents with a whiff of fruit and then a good, dry hopping. Fairly good, but not your typical Alt - I see it’s not listed as such either. A German Golden ale? There cannot be many of those. 190207 motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 4, 2007 The 16.9 ounce bottle poured a hazy pale yellow beverage with an average sized frothy white head that was mostly diminishing but left some lacing on the glass. The aroma was had a sweet malt character with some lemon zest notes and a sour undertone. The body was medium-light with average carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started off pretty neutral then quickly took on a slight sourness. The finish was medium in length and the sourness lasted throughout.
