The beer pours a medium to light yellow with a moderately long-lasting white head. Aromas of pilsner and a light munich malt come through in the nose, along just a touch of noble German hops. The palate is simple and straightforward, but clean and refined. A light malty sweetness, paired with balencing hops and a medium to medium-dry finish. I agree with some of the other raters that the beer is rather simple in terms of flavor. However, if one rates the beer purely in terms of stylistic accuracy, I think it is an excellent example. That being said, I wouldn’t have minded an addition of a few more percentage points of munich malt to increase the malty character. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 30, 2009 Slick looking and pale yellow - huge foamy white head that sounded like rice krispy’s on the bubble down. Aroma is dry, malty - more malt than yeast, but the yeast is there. For some reason this makes me think of a Gewurztraminer.... A bit tangy taste that made me salivate, a slight somewhat unpleasant bitter sour taste than I cannot place - sour/spicy/mild yeast???. The massive carbonation attacked my mouth and left it quite dry. Less than enjoyable, not super drinkable either. WVHouseofBeer (390), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA

Faint aromas of lemon and some other stuff that I couldn’t quite make out. Decent flavors of citrus and light hops. Not a bad beer, but as the case with most Blondes, there just wasn’t much there. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Had this as Pinkus Original. The bottle looks complex, the beer in the glass is okay. The beer starts light-fruity, notes of apricot. The finish is more hoppy-sweet. Drinkable, but nothing really special. mbgrayson (149), Anaconda, Montana, USA

Goes pretty good with leftover KFC at one in the morning while contemplating whether or not to accept that facebook invite to your ex-girlfriend’s party even though that douchbag she’s currently dating is going to be there.
