| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 23, 2004 Hazy golden/honey coloured body with a thin off-white head. Aroma of astringent medicine, cardboard, malt, nuts and grapes. Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with bitter wheat coming through in the taste. Aftertaste strong and pungent-very prolonged. Overall, far less than expected and let a lot to be desired..try the normal hefe instead! I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Pittsford (Rochester), New York on 09-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. AlabastorJones (770), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 2, 2004 malty skunk aroma, dense copper coloring, thin white head, slightly off roasty taste, slightly floral, similar palate to the hefe with that same strange bitter finish, over all not bad but not great either. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 1, 2004 Light colored for an altbier, yellowy-orange with a nice poofy head ... looks like a hefeweizen. The flavor is also uncharacteristically lemony-citric for an "alt" with an almost yeasty tinge. It’s good, but different for the style. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Appearance: clear, bright golden color, high carbonation, fat, fuzzy, slowly settling, snow white head.
Aroma: yeasty, softly citric, lemony, and clean, rather spare, actually.
Taste: brief, not quite bitter hop appearance leads the way on the palate, a quick spritz, then it’s more emptiness, with just a touch of malt, and a hint of sweetness. Body is light, finish rather blase’, and all ’round it’s a forgettable affair. You’ve got to applaud the organic angle, though, and it’s drinkable, and tasty, but too simplistic for me to get excited over.

Has a cloudy light gold color with very little head. The aroma is peaches and a slight lemon. The flavors are initially surprisingly sour with a lemon drop quality. A friend agreed that it tasted like hard lemon candy. Also has a touch of bubblegum at the end. Interesting, but not particularly impressive. Had this agian, similar experience, but a little less of the sour candy character. Still, nothing special. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2004 I can see why this is not considerd an Alt - no real Alt qualities. Light orange, hazy appearance, thick, clumpy white head. Aroma is very yeasty and slightly corny. Yeast falvor is prominant and dominant. Decent mouthfeel. Slighlty disappointed. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA

Bready malt nose with soft apricot hints.
Biscuity malt flavor, grassy hops with a solid bitter kick.
