| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 7, 2004 Aroma very strong and complex - grassy hops mixed with almost a wheat/rye. Poured very carbonated with a quickly dissipating head. Strength belies its aroma, as it smells heavier than it is. This light/medium-bodied ale has a lively mouthfeel and lots of subtastes. There is lots of character here, just can't distinguish the parts. Dry acidic finish. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2004 Light hazy blonde straw color with low carbonation and light head; no lacing. Some maltiness in the aroma with lots of acidic citrus and a lots of toasty biscuity malts. Wonderful mash job! The flavor is complex with some light sweet malty notes, the lack of hops here to undercut the balance is beneficial and comes through very unique and almost tangy. Finishes acidic and sweet with a light salty tail. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and rich. This is a pretty eclectic brew, unique and flavorful, I like it. Session, yet complex & flavorful. envane (251), Evanston, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 23, 2004 I am glad I was informed beforehand that this is not an "altbier" - its called "alt" because its an old = "alt" style of german ale. Fruity, malty aroma, dark yellow cloudy colour. The taste is fruity and sweety, with a slight citrus sourness as its goes down. faint hops, but they come out in the aftertaste. This would make a very enjoyable summer session beer. Dalle (1146), Skĝrping, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2004 I'm not sure why it's called an Alt, it's quite light in color. (More like your typical German lager, but hazy). However, the flavor is quite crisp and refreshing with a slight citrus feel. I kinda like this one. LordNeuf (125), Acton, Massachusetts, USA
