| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 28, 2008 A decent golden/blond ale. Aroma was pretty weak. Very earthy with and light. Pour was a boring cloudy dirty gold with no head. Taste, was a lot different. Not much in the front, but after you swallow and huge burst of earth, caramel malt and yeast fill the mouth and gives a full aftertaste. Not bad. KnutAlbert (3149), Oslo, Norway

Soft head over a golden beer.
Sweet and sour, a little yeast, flowers. This is a welcome change from the pilsners and weisses - and old fashioned beer with character. FlacoAlto (2473), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 24, 2008 Pours easily with an almost three-finger thick, pale, just barely tanned, off-white colored head. The beer is a murky gold color that shows an only lightly hazed, bright, pale gold color when held up to the light. The aroma is noticeable spicy as I pour this, though it seems to be a bit more grassy / hay like with grain notes upon deeper inspection. This is definitely interesting smelling, spicy & grain-like, but somehow in a stale grain sort of way. It almost has a savory herbal note to it, somewhat earthy and definitely reminiscent of funky whole grain notes. I am not sure I really dig the aroma of this beer, but I wouldn’t say I dislike it either.
Spicy and a bit peppery from a decent carbonation. The beer is very thin bodied, so much so that it almost seems to develop a tartness. This finishes with a light bitterness and graininess that is both grassy as well as a bit like stale crackers. Other flavors of earthy herbs, perhaps a touch of DMS and some green apple like flavors (especially towards the finish). There is not a whole lot of complexity to this beer and for some reason even the flavors I have mentioned have bee hard to pull out.
Really not a very good beer, it might be a bit past its prime, but many of the flavors don’t really seem attributable to oxidation; a bottle date would have been really nice as I just bought this. This really just seems poorly constructed.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a dark golden color with a decent looking white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel and even some yeast. Taste is sweet and surprisingly fruity, with citrus and caramel coming through the most. Good amount of hops in the finish. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall an interesting and tasty beer. I have had better for the style, but this is one of the more flavorful organic beers I have sampled. mmmbeer (752), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 16, 2008 500 ml bottle poured into shaker- poured transparent golden yellow, high-medium carbonation, white head quickly bubbled away. Aroma of wheat and lemon. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt comes through rather lightly, sweetness in the middle, finish has a very slight hop note and is clean. Refreshing on a hot day, but I can think of other’s that do the job better to cool you down than this one. Cybercat (798), Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Aroma is strong and malty with fruity undertone, banana and a little apple. Pours a clear golden amber with a fairly thick and fluffy white head. Flavor is a bit thin but not bad - malty with a hint of bananas and just a whisper of sweetness. Texture is jazzy and lively. Not outstanding, but not too shabby.
