The aroma is pure and simple malt and grassy hops. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The flavor is bitter with a lemon element followed by malt. The palate is what a pilsner should be. Overall this is a quality beer but is not really that great. entertheiceman (242), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2006 Meh, a beer that didn’t inspire me to write anything special about it but I drank it so I wanted to rate it. Average Pils style, grassy, yellow in color, more malt than normal. You know all this. Decent and conforming to style. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Apr 18, 2006 With the exception of the aroma, this is one pretty darn good pilsener. A great head, smooth, and not funky in taste. One to drink more than once. DuffMan (2769), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 15, 2006 Hazy yellow gold, dense thick head, lots of lace. Vaguely yeasty, a little grassy. Pale malt palate, almost wheaty, with a very bitter finish. I liked it, but it is pprobably the most bitter pilsener I’ve had next to Jevers. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Bottle: Had a malt and wheat aroma. Cloudy yellow body with decent white Flavor at first had a sharp lemon bite that is somewhat sour. Bite subsides and a decent hop lemon citrus flavor along with some wheat. Flavor on the finish was like chewing on a lemon peal. Dry fruit palate. Interesting beer. SSSteve (2095), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 4, 2006 slightly skunky, malty aroma. honey colored with a medium sized, quickly diminishing, white head. dry. sweet malts and a hint of hops work well but the alt beer is by far a tastier offering from this brewery. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Apr 1, 2006 Pours pale yellow with a quick spritzy froth. Malty dried wheat on the nose. Light, crisp, clean, and dry. Nice finish. A thirst quencher. A great specimen in it’s genre. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 31, 2006 I had the Organic Ur-Pils, which is apparently a different name for this same beer. Clean, pale color with good foamy head. Fairly dry, especially midway thru the glass, but overall a good tasiting beer with a decent finish.
