Not real sure how old this bottle was, but it seemed in really nice shape. The beer pours out a clear light golden body sitting under a briliantly white sudsy white cap. Aroma is floral and grassy, with a strong grain base. Lightly sweetened on the palate, bitterness held firmly in check by the sweetness and a clean fruity note comes crashing thru (the yeast perhaps?). Clearly a really nice summer time beer, but hey...I’ll drink what I can get.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Clear pale golden/yellow with a nicely remaining lacing tall white head. Great hoppy nose with hints of sweat, lemon, yeast and resin. Fantastic hoppy taste. Sublime hop profile. Delicate pale malt back. Gooseberries sneaking in. Relatively high carbonation. Long hoppy finish. My kind of Pils. A great beer with remarkable hop characteristics. Thanks a lot pivnizub!

A quick note aside from my rating. I have always enjoyed the heck out of these Pinkus beer labels. In one corner you’ve got the disheveled Bavarian Che’ Guevara looking fellow, and then you’ve got his partner the gentleman with no neck from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I imagine these guys starting a brewery together as some sort of brilliant "odd couple" situation where hilarity ensues. Aside from all this the beer pours a lightly hazy golden color with a semi loose medium white fluffy head and boasts plenty of bubbles. The aroma sports the classic fresh cut hay and mildly skunky character with some very pleasant noble hop character. The flavor is very crisp with some apple and some honey and plenty of nice bitterness to balance. The palate is certainly sharp. I enjoyed this one four years ago the last time I had it, and I have to say I enjoy it now as well.

Bottle. Nice head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt and hops. Nice bitter finish.

Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a good sized fluffy white head that left some lacing. Not very much in the aroma, just a little bit of grain and light fruit. Light malt and citrus flavors. Oily palate, very crisp finish. Not a bad pilsener at all.

Bottled. Poured hazy straw golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up lemon rind and sourdough bread upfront (more sour than anticipated) with a bit of fresh grain beneath.. actually a bit sweeter than hoped for as well. The flavor had tart lemon and dusty, dirty yeast laced throughout.. cereal and bready sweetness at the core.. finished sour, but with too much sweetness to be refreshing. Lighter-bodied with tacky malts and the aforementioned sourness.. didn’t flow well. It wasn’t awful, but it didn’t work for me.

Poured from 500 ml bottle. Aroma reminds me of the beer my father drank when I was a kid (Rhiengold) - gotta give it points for that. Pale gold and cloudy. Thick white head. Hop and malt flavors come through distinctly, but not overpowering. Finished well. A pleasant surprise.
