cask. clear dark cola brown. nose: amaretto and singed cherry skin scented malts, some sweet vanilla/caramel note as well but mostly woody/nutty/cherry-like. medium to mild hop bitterness, some wood-like tannins. medium to low acid, not sure from what but likely from some small infection (not too bad). Noble hop finish and bready/crusty malts. Nice for what is it but doesn’t stand up to true British cask ale. rederic (1815), montréal, Quebec, Canada

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2006 Light nutty caramel aroma, that matches the flavor quite nicely. Rich nutty maltiness, that has some decent fruit characters, that turns into a dry bitter finish.
