rederic (1566), montréal, Quebec, Canada Dec 18, 2008 On tap at Pints Pub, dark brown color, with some reddish highlights, and a beige head, toasted, caramelized, faint roasted malt nose, with some fruity raisiny, plummy, date esters, some chocolatey, coffeeish accents, with a light floral hop peachy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasty, roasty malt, fruity character of flowery hop peachy, apricot, candied orange peel, with some dark coffee, burnt caramel notes, leading towards a roasty, hop bittering finish. ratman197 (2548), Arvada, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2007 On cask @ Pints Pub poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering light amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee, cocoa, dates, light coffcee and a hint of spice. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bakers chocolate, tobbaco, toffee and light carmel with a smooth dry lin gering bitter finish. BillKismet (1518), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 25, 2007 Maroon amber with a bubbly head in this cask conditioned ale. Aroma was burnt caramel malt funk, translating into a smoky rauch malt character in flavor with a dry, burnt caramel finish. hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 9, 2006 On tap at the Pints Brew Pub [1/2 pint glass]. Cask. Poured a deep brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of nuts, light chocolate, caramel, and lightly fruity. theisti (1231), Leawood, Kansas, USA Oct 26, 2006 Tap at Pint’s. Nice brown color on the pour. Nut aroma and taste throughout. Nothing spectacular, but very drinkable. This is my favorite Pint’s brew, for what its worth.
