ratman197 (2184), Arvada, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2007 On tap@ pints Pub poured a clear deep brown with garnet highlights and a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, peat, brown sugar, milk chocolate and coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, peat, cocoa and coffee with a smooth sweet malty finish. GregMB (8), USA does not count Oct 26, 2007 Tap. Dark brown beer with a light brown head. Chocolate and coffee were present in the pint I had. Too sweet of a finish for my taste, will definitely try again to see if the taste varies from batch to batch ChrisJ (98), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 5, 2007 Nice light brown pour. Thin light brown head left no lacing on the glass. Simple caramel malt flavors with some notes of fruit, caramel, nutty, roasted grain. Slightly sour. Moderately sweet especially up front. Body is thin, although I must confess I have enjoyed this beer at times. The pint I had today had too much sour fruit, which was off-putting. Will rerate. hopdog (4415), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 9, 2006 On tap at the Pints Brew Pub [1/2 pint glass]. Poured a dark, dark brown with red edges and a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel and lightly earthy. Tastes of caramel, toffee, and light earth. Lacing left on the glass. Thinner body. theisti (983), Leawood, Kansas, USA Oct 26, 2006 Tap at Pint’s. Dark pour with a strong lasting head. Flavor is a bit weak (even watery) bit there is some grass and fruit in here. Perhaps a bit too sweet for me, seems like Pint’s does that with many of their’s.
