Holdwine (904), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Oct 7, 2009 Wet grainy nose. More orange pour than most lagers. Actually doesn’t taste that bad. A little watery, but plenty of grain on the tongue. taste quickly departs. badgerben (3584), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Mar 13, 2009 Courtesy of Skyview. Very murky brown/orange color with a quickly collapsing large head. Fairly heavy floral and citrus hops for a pale lager. Those fade in the flavor a lot. Mostly grains and caramel. ben4321 (946), Rockville, Maryland, USA Mar 5, 2009 June 2008 Beer of the Month Club
Overall Impression: Average looking, average tasting amber lager. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Dec 18, 2008 hazy amber, medium quickly dissipating head, tiny white bubbles with slight lacing. not at all pale lagery looking. very sweet malt, perhaps hint of hop in nose. flavor is earthy malt and floral hops which do not offset each other very well. no body, mildly bitter finish. i like lagers, so this one is disappointing in its complete lack of lagerliness. 6 pack from liquor depot in monee. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Sep 28, 2008 Amber in color with no head and low carbonation. Aroma is a bit nutty with some biscuit aromas. Flavor is nothing really special, low caramel sweetness and little bit of a walnut taste. Overall not too impressive of a beer but definitely better than the macro options. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Sep 7, 2008 A none too impressive lager, tasting largely of malty corn. The Beer of the Month people need to try a little harder. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Jul 12, 2008 This came from the BOM club. Really not that good. Oh well. How much can you say about a beer you will probably never drink again? GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 22, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. Head was two fingers high and off white with decent retention. Some lace was left behind at the end. There were whiffs of biscuity malt and subdued caramel, but not much else. Dry and grainy flavor accented by white paper and some grassy hops. Eh.
