Pours clear amber with small off-white head. No discernable carbonation. Caramel and toasted malt aromas. Medium-to-full bodied bock with moderate malt sweetness and toffee/toasted malt flavors. Finishes with toasty malt fade. No perceptible hop presence. Very smooth and malty in mouth. Malty flavor that strongly resembles Big Sky’s Moose Drool brown ale which I really enjoyed. A luscious malty bock. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2007 Red-brown like cherry wood with an off-white head that holds up well. A very nutty, biscuit and honey beer that finishes dry and clean, but thin. Malty and chewy in the center. This is more like a nut brown than a bock. In fact I’m not sure it is a lager. A bit estery - reminds me of New Glarus’ marzen.. But overall I like it. It looks great in the glass, and is quite quaffable. ChainGangGuy (2592), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 16, 2008 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, dark amber body with a tiny, whiteish head.
Smell: Sweet-smelling toasted malt aroma with an underlying tart, fruity note.
Taste: Sweet maltiness yielding flavors of honey and caramel. Slight toasted quality throughout. Dash each of peach and raisin syrup. Very mild spicy hoppiness. Touch of alcohol on the altogether sweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Just barely medium carbonation. Slightly sticky mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A surprise, but a pleasant one. Definitely one of the better Sand Creek products I’ve encountered in awhile.

Serving: 12 oz bottles shared by WWWarrior.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Lots of malt (caramel).
Appearance: Hazy dark honey color with a thin ivory head.
Flavor: Caramel malt with some deep fruitiness. There is also a flavor that is more dark and roasty lurking in the background that I can’t put my finger on (chocolate maybe?)...
Palate: Medium-full body; smooth with a slight creaminess.
Overall: Quite good and different than expected. One of my favorites of the evening... esjaygee (1578), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma of bread, toffee, toasted malt and sticky buns. Taste of toffee, sweet malt, Munich malt, rye and grains. Finishes up a half shade dry. Finhead (85), Illinois, USA

The lively taste is a malty caramel and apple cider, but it finishes roasted with a hint of coffee. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA
