ogivlado (2319), Zagreb, Croatia Jul 22, 2008 Bottled(500ml). –Yellow coloured, small white head that went away fast, strong unpleasant grainy nose. Expected thin and watery beer, weak malty and hoppy with metallic and roten cereals notes. Hungarian supermarket style beer.
Quack-Duck (1755), Bodensee, Germany Aug 4, 2008 bottle from Globus Ceske Budejovice. Clear golden yellow colour, medium-sized head. Hoppy nose with a touch of lemon. Light-bodied, pleasantly malty with a good portion of hops and a shy Saaz character. Well-balanced, refreshing and quite nice for a beer with only 3.5% ABV. Doggythedog (972), Split, Croatia Jul 17, 2008 At Ogi’s place. Guess that the Danes got this, either rare or new cheap Czech beer as well seeing that Papsoe added it. Still, I’m the first to rate it. Ok golden-yellow body with a medium sized thick white head. Burnt grain in the nose, corn? Empty taste, crappy metallic, somewhat herbal hops. Biting. Weak watery grainy malt. Some soap. Traditional Czech beer my ass.
