Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Bottle, pours crystal clear with a large white moslty lasting head with nice lacing. Aroma of malt, bread and yeast with some flowery hops. Flavor is similar to aroma, full body with a nice warming bitter aftertaste. Alchohol is nicely hidden but its presence is though noticed since it’s quite heavy to drink.

750ml, pours a beautiful straw gold with a massive, long lasting, white head. OK, I understand this is a triple, but the fruitiness and the freshness reminds me more of a sour pale ale. The usual hard-candy, dark fruits vibe of a triple are present, but there is an acidic quality that reminds me of apple skins. Hints of honey. Very nice overall.

Poured a bright iluminating golden colour with a huge-ass head. After a couple minutes when the foam went down, the aroma hit me with strong notes of honey, alcohol and wheat. Taste was very rich, sort of zesty. Green apple, pear and lemon on the nose. Flavours were pleasent, but definately noticeable alcohol in the back of the mouth.

Pours golden orange with a lasting white head. Smell is yeast, and citrus fruits with spice. Taste is spiced, but smooth and fruity malt. A bit sweet with some tropical notes and a strong belgian yeast flavor. Medium body and soft carbonation. A touch of alcohol shows as it warms. Not bad, but too sweet and I don’t care for the yeast flavor.
