Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

Pours golden orange with a lasting white head. Smell is yeast, and citrus fruits with spice. Taste is spiced, but smooth and fruity malt. A bit sweet with some tropical notes and a strong belgian yeast flavor. Medium body and soft carbonation. A touch of alcohol shows as it warms. Not bad, but too sweet and I don’t care for the yeast flavor.

simply wonderful ale! cant taste too much alcohol, the flavors are mainly hops and malt and to me maybe some dried fruit in there, almost some cheese hints . Great stuff, works well with Nowhere man from the beatles!!!

Pours a golden color with a fluffy white head. Way hoppy, which I wasn’t expecting from a Belgian. Not bad, but man did it have a funny way of playing with the Belgian yeast and hops. A beer with an identity crisis, am I malty, am I hoppy, am I a Belgian, am I the bastard child of a Belgian and a hop monster? Interesting and not quite in a great way.

330ml.bottle. at La Palette restaurant in Toronto. The color is golden with a thin beige head. The taste and aroma are spicy. Also in the taste is dried fruits and malt. The alcool % is high but it does not affect the taste that much. The finish is a nice sweet felling.

Tastes like an american made IPA, the hops are stronger than any other belgian I have had, which I am not happy with.

Bottle thanks to ilovedarkbeer. Pours with a huge, creamy white head over a clear golden body. Decent lace. Aroma is apple, alcohol, bread, honey, pear and candi sugar. Taste is a mess. Grassy, sun struck, a bit of bitter malts, dough, diacetyl, apple. Just not good at all. Dry and light bubbles.
