Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

330mL bottle - pours golden with almost no head. Similar characteristics to Piraat 9%: Aroma is hoppy and quite sugary. Flavour is orange, citrusy and a bit sweet. Carbonation is quite high. This is quite a bit better than the Piraat 9 though - the flavour is more complex and less dry than the 9. Very good beer.

330ml bottle into a Duvel tulip glass. Great frothy head and outstanding lacing. This ale pours in the most appealing manner and makes you want to start tipping it back straight away. The aroma is yeasty but unlike most other ales. Starts with a very intense flavor on the palate, dissipating to a pleasant, almost sour aftertaste. A very good beer, will buy again for sure. Arrrrrr.

Bottle from the grocery at Taipei 101. Fruity and spicy aroma, metal and oregano. Amber pour with a rich head. flavor is very balanced between fruit and yeast, sweetness and bitter. Too bad this is not common in the US!

Bottle from Majestic on Eastchase. Awkward grassy aroma isn’t very pleasing. Taste isn’t too bad. Faint and fruity.

Nice amber colour, thin head. Hoppy fruity aroma is very pleasant. Fruity flavour transitioning into kind of a dry doughey finish. Slightly alcoholic. Not bad.

Bottle courtesy of Fratto. Hazy golden pour. First smell was a little sour with some off color notes that disappear after the second sniff. Some lighter fruit elements. Flavor has some butter with grain. Little fruit on the taste. A little disappointing.

Golden blond beer with nice white head. Aroma is full malty, slight peppery, yeasty and it has some honey and hops in the nose too. Taste is strong, you can feel some alcohol, some bitterness and it ends nicely smooth with somemild honey accents
