Commercial Description:
Piraat is a wickedly rich and rounded brew that packs a mighty punch. The powerful glow builds up from inside. Deep golden with a subtle haze. Lots of hops and malt. Mild sweetness. Reminiscent of bread dough, spices and tropical fruits.

From bottle :Pours a dark hazy yellow from the bottle, with a huge white head. A sweet fruity, carbonated aroma comes from this beer. Flavor is fruity with touch of spice. Feels tangy in your mouth, with a slightly bitter after taste. Not bad

Poured a hazy honey orange color with a thin white head. The nose started with a huge perfume of alcohol Then became spicy and yeasty with a slight maltiness. Peppery notes are present as well, as floral hoppiness shows up in the end. The taste starts with a sticky maltiness, then fruity with honey, pineapple and a strong alcohol burn. Cloves and light caramel come through also. In the end, bitterness becomes more prevalant and balances nicely with a surprisingly dry finish. This high octane brew is very rich and syrupy and will clear your sinuses with no problem. Drink it a little cold. Lest ye be warned. Arrg.

330 ML Bottle-Poured a Beautiful cloudy golden color w/a HUGE foamy, rocky, mountainous head. Took forever to go down & turn into thick lacing which lasted thru the brew. One of the most beautiful looking beers I’ve ever seen, if only the taste matched up to the appearence. Faint, sweet, Belgian aroma. Light Belgian flavor w/traces of sweetness & bread dough, but it was a very week flavored brew overall. Lacked the depth & freshness of a quality Belgian. Had some spice & carbonation, but had a thin & watery mouthfeel, no real decernable finish to speak of. Great dissapoinment based on how it looked out of the bottle, Thought this might end up being something special, but it just didn’t deliver. If they ramped up the flavor on this brew it could be truely great; alas it is just average!

Bottle. Moderate aromas of light bread, cereal and nuttiness for the malts, flowers for the hops, and dough and basement for the yeast with pepper and alcohol in the background. Head is fully diminishing, fizzy, white with fair lacing and the color is a sparkling golden amber. A great combonation of flavors with light sweetness and moderate acidity to start and moderate acidity and bitterness for the long finish. Palate is light to medium, between watery and oily and carbonation is lively. Nice beer that’s both rich and refreshing at the same time.

Bottle. Cloudy golden coloration, with a very nice white head, dense and consistent. Average carbonation. Perceivable alcohol. Citric. Notes of damson plum. Bitter final.
