Aug 26, 2009 In the bottle: a great trippel, with clear citrus notes and relatively strong bitterness for the style; it is pale, with a white head, crisp yet warming. Excellent.
On tap: surprisingly different from the bottled version; hops are less pronounced, and aromas of apples replace the citrus notes. A sweet and refreshing trippel, with warming notes of alchohol. Also excellent.

Aug 18, 2009 Pours a light golden color with a good amount of head. The aroma is of spices and perhaps a hint of citrus. I had no idea that this was as high of an alcohol content as is did, it was very well masked. There is a slightly sweet undertone to the flavor. There wad maybe just a bit too much carbonation, but still a ok brew.

Aug 17, 2009 Julio’s Belgian Beer Festival. Sample. Surprised by this one as I liked it way more than expected. This is a great example of a belgian strong. I’m surprised it doesn’t get rated higher.

Aug 16, 2009 750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a copper/gold color, like apple juice. Thin off white head that recedes quikly leaving no lace. Aroma is citrus fruits and honey. Smooth, moderate body with low carbonation. Flavor is sweet honey, some hops notes as well as tropical citrus flavors. Also, a smooth buttery flavor. Very enjoyable.

Aug 11, 2009 Cloudy orange appearance with a thin white head. It has a sweet citrus nose that fits the sweet fruity initial flavor, followed by a spicy and slightly acidic taste. Finishes with a heavy alcohol feel. Quite possibly my favorite Belgian ale.
