Commercial Description:
The Southeast's first organic lager, Pisgah Oktoberfest leans more toward authentic German domestic versions of this seasonal favorite. Golden in color, the subtle malt body and rounded biscuit flavor set it apart from typical export and American versions. Using a special Bavarian lager yeast, Pisgah's interpretation of this classic style is what you would find in a Munich bier garden this time of year.

Draft at Barley’s Taproom in Asheville, NC. Poured a slightly hazy light orange color. Head was thin and white. Not much lace was left behind at the end. The aroma was subdued overall with only some light grassy hops. Tasted of biscuity malt with fresh vegetable undertones. There was also light spicy malt at the end accompanied by a noble hop flavor. So so.
